Overload

Rumor has it I'm going to Israel in five days. It is definitely not real to me yet but getting "realer" by every not understanding professor I have conversation with. People keep telling me that this trip is an amazing opportunity and a privilege; I couldn't agree more. What I need to hear now however is my dear friend Linda saying "Susie this ten day trip will be worth more than you could possibly gain from any college course." Or in the words of a roomate "look at it this way.... The Holy Land or Basic College Algebra." I need to hear that today when my professors that at one time gave me the impression that they were supportive change their minds. Or when a teacher flat out uses the words "your screwed girl" or "this means you will be busting more than that fanny of yours."
In a nut shell today was defeating. The sun however rises in this story. I have been really fortunate that my not so amazing days have been falling on the same days I get to see my church friends. I don't think but know the rest of my day will be fabulous so I am choosing to put this behind me and go sip coffee, catch a movie, have laughs and hopefully food with some of the most glorious people.

I know what you mean about a trip not being "real" yet. I also know that your teacher was probably really stressed out when she said you were "screwed." I'm sure you'll work your way out of it when you get back. I can help with the math.

Plus, there were tons of laughs tonight!!!!

I used to have a sign in front of me while studying that said "Relax, good woman, and THINK!" so I wouldn't stress out. I have it in front of me right now too.

I found you! So glad to hear that the "idea" of the trip to Israel really is happening!

Have a great trip! Going with Bishop Sally will be an awesome experience.

Shalom to you!
